PLCC’s Affordable Housing Preservation Success Highlighted in Shelterforce

The Purple Line Corridor Coalition’s (PLCC) work to preserve affordable housing in Maryland was featured on Shelterforce recently. PLCC’s housing development coordinator Vonnette Harris spoke about some of the coalition’s successes in building a pipeline of development and preservation deals in the region.

“Recognizing that many community groups have the motivation, but not the capacity, to preserve and create affordable housing, Harris works to ‘get projects shovel ready, so they are able to apply for funding opportunities as they arise,’ she says.”
