Student Resources

Welcome to the Student resource page!

Welcome to the PALS program – we truly appreciate your participation!  Our goal is to make your experience with the PALS project a  very positive experience.

Throughout your work with PALS, the PALS Graduate Assistants are here to be your resource. Contact them with any questions, requests for travel reimbursements, meeting requests, etc. Please remain in contact with them, and cc them on correspondence with the client to ensure PALS is up to date about the status of your project.

Kim Fisher (the PALS program director) and  our partner agency leadership are here to help with any problems that arise.  These can take the form of communication problems, missing data, changing scopes, etc.  Please quickly contact Kim and your GA if problems arise.  We are able to help solve problems like this!

    1. Students schedule and attend 3 meetings with your point of contact (POC) – PALS GA should be included in this.
      • Kick off/introductory meeting (February)
      • Midterm meeting (March/April)
      • Final presentation (May)
    2. One team member to submit a signed copy of the DRUM copyright release form to PALS GA by the end of the semester
    3. At least one member from the PALS team must also attend the PALS Showcase** on the designated date May to give a 10-minute presentation
      • **Pertains to those of you working with Prince George’s County Planning Department or Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation
    4. Submit final deliverables (presentations, posters, final reports) in editable formats (no PDFs) by the end of the semester to PALS GA
    5. Communicate with your PALS GA if you are having trouble getting in contact with your POC, need access to resources or data, or have any other questions! We are here to help!
