Steve Brigham is Engagement Consultant to the Purple Line Corridor Coalition. Steve has been a leader in the public engagement field over the past twenty years, first in his role as COO and then President of AmericaSpeaks, and now as one of three principals in Public Engagement Associates. In that time, he has led or managed more than 175 public and stakeholder engagement projects in project design, public meeting design, and large and small group facilitation.
In addition to the Purple Line Corridor Coalition, his client projects have included World Economic Forum, The Belgian Biodiversity Platform, Clinton Global Initiative, the National Summit to Defend Democracy, and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute nationally and internationally. His projects in the region include: the Washington D.C. Mayor’s Office, WMATA, NoMa Parks Foundation, Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG), Prince George’s Planning Division, Howard County Department of Planning and Zoning, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), the D.C. Department of Behavioral Health & the Bainum Family Foundation.
Steve also facilitates strategic retreats for Mayors’ offices, annual staff retreats for national non-profit organizations, planning workshops with national policy coalitions, stakeholder summits for national education associations, and strategic planning exercises with several science museums.
